Elior North America CEO Poplin named to C-CAP board, will chair 2019 benefit

Charlotte, N.C., Dec. 18, 2018 – Elior North America, the largest food-focused culinary management company in the U.S., announced today that president and CEO Brian Poplin has been named to the board of Careers through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP), a nonprofit dedicated to providing essential career readiness training and real-world professional experiences to underserved high school students.

As a C-CAP partner, Elior North America actively supports the organization with workshops and job shadowing experiences for students to position them for success. In addition to providing culinary training and job opportunities, C-CAP helps students learn workplace fundamentals and offers college advising and scholarships. Elior chefs have worked with students in Chicago, Philadelphia, New York and Washington, D.C.

“The Elior team, led by Brian Poplin, has provided life-changing opportunities for our students that build skills, confidence and connections,” said Karen Brosius, president of C-CAP. “We are truly grateful for Elior’s generous investment of time, talent and resources in our program and so thrilled that Brian has joined the C-CAP board.”

The company also announced that Poplin will serve as event chair for C-CAP’s annual benefit scheduled for Feb. 26, 2019, in New York City.
